Termination of Employment




For an employee under wage withholding issued by the Family Support Division, Child Support Enforcement, an employer is required to notify the division when the employee/obligor terminates employment.

Pursuant to the Revised Statutes of Missouri, Subsection 454.505.11, an employer must complete the notification within ten days of the termination. In addition, an employer must report the last known address of the obligor, if known to the employer, and provide to the division the name and address of the obligor's new employer, if known.

To fulfill this requirement, an employer may complete and return page 3 of the Income Withholding for Support to the address provided at the bottom of that page or an employer may report terminations online.
